Zbyněk Tarant, Ph.D. was born in 1982 in the former Czechoslovakia. After graduating at the University of West Bohemia in the field of Cultural Anthropology of the Near East, he continued his studies at the same institution, where he got his Ph.D. in 2012. His research focuses on the issues of collective memory, Czech-Jewish and Czech-Israeli relations. He recently published a book titled „The Czechoslovak Hurban – Responses to the Munich Agreement, Second Czechoslovak Republic and Nazi Occupation of Czechoslovakia by the Press of the Zionist Yishuv in Palestine, 1938-1939“.
